Social media is a prevalent part of our personal and professional lives.
Between Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and the myriad of social networking sites available. it’s easy to find yourself sucked into a black hole of unending likes, comments, retweets and shares.
While there is no doubt that social media is a phenomenal tool to build and grow an online presence.
However, managing a social media presence in an effective and productive way can be tricky.
With the daily barrage of streaming content, many find the overload enough to leave their head spinning and reason enough to run from social media, never looking back.

My favorite is Capzool.com. It’s a fast and easy software that gives a solution to all my online marketing needs, and in addition to the social media management, i create SMS campaigns, emails, voice messaging and some more easy and effective features.
Thank you so much for this list , many of these are new to me, am hoping the sea I was drowning in will calm down for a bit…
Me too Diana! Try them out and let me know which one helps the most.
Thanks a lot for sharing this useful information.
I liked your statement:However, managing a social media presence in an effective and productive way can be tricky
Thanks Georg! It can feel incredibly overwhelming if you don’t know how to manage it.
I thought I was on top of things as far as social monitoring tools go, but you showed me a few new apps that I need to investigate further. Glad to see you give some social love to Commun.it. Like you, its one of my favorites that I reference daily.
I love singing the praises of Commun.it Neil. I’ve used it since it was in Beta and can’t say enough about it. It makes keeping up with those that actively share your content so much easier.
Hadn’t tried some of these yet, like the one for Pinterest. Smart – if you’ve got a visual product, invest in custom art and photography, good idea to track who pins it. Sometimes when I read something, there’s a line or quote that makes a better tweet than the headline so I use that instead; sounds like “save publishing” tool it was made for me. Look forward to trying these. FWIW.
You will love Save Publishing Davina. It makes repurposing your post for multiple Tweets or other social posts so easy. Have fun with it!
Really enjoyed the article. Save Publishing and Commun.it are a GO TO. Keep up the great posts. @BraandLife
I’m so glad to hear Save Publishing and Commun.it are something you’ll use. I love them both!!
Hi Rebekah,
Thanks for sharing for this. I am an SEO professional and will be the first to admit that my social media skills aren’t anywhere near to those of the experts.
However SEO and social are almost intertwined and a good marketer needs to be proficient in both areas. Have tried Social mention but the others are all new to me.
Thanks a ton for sharing this 🙂 I definitely have to check them out
Collin – You are so right in how closely intertwined social and SEO are these days. It definitely takes a solid understanding of both to succeed these days. Glad the tools were helpful to you!
This is a fantastic round-up, really useful. Thanks!!
So glad you enjoyed this roundup of tools Laurie – thanks!
Thanks for the great info! All new to me & look forward to checking them out! Especially the Commun.it! have buffer & seeing that they are integrated is awesome! Looking forward to trying some of the others as well!
Commun.it has been my choice of tool for a long time now & I look forward to try ‘Save Publishing’ and ‘Page Lever’.
Thanks for sharing!
The more time I spend in Commun.it, the more I love it. It makes life so much easier rather than hunting for that info. Have fun with Save Publishing – you will love it!
Great resource list, what is the best tool for tracking social shares?
Hi Michael! There are a lot of great tools, but my favorites would be Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Hootsuite and Social Mention. Are you using any of those?
Nice collection! Thanks for putting this together. Absent, though, is Google+ tools. It’s becoming my primary sharing/social tool, so always interested in leveraging that growing network. Are there any similar tools you use in your G+ efforts?
You’re right Gary – I did neglect to add G+. I love Do Share for scheduling posts throughout the day. If you haven’t used it, just know that it’s not a Hootsuite where you can hop on a plane and have posts automatically go out. You must be logged into G+ for it to work, but it does help space out your posts rather than posting all of your content at the same time.
Rebekah, Save Publishing is such a good recommendation! I can’t believe I’ve never used it before. I love how it gives you character-count breakdown. Awesome.
It has been one of my favorite finds – I love it and use it every day Paul! So glad you find it handy too!!
